Plowboy Press is handmade books in limited editions by Andrew Miller-Brown. Each title is selected, edited, designed, printed letterpress, and bound by hand in a home-based printshop and bindery in northeastern Vermont. Most editions are limited to one hundred numbered copies. Each book is crafted by hand to tell the story of the work it holds. Each book also tells another story, the story of the processes and materials of the book itself.
The Phaenomena of Aratus is a co-publication of the Janus Press and Plowboy Press. This third-century work by the Greek poet Aratus describes the constellations and other natural phenomena. It details their uses in forecasting the changing seasons and weather for farmers and sailors.
